Uckingtonhorselivery is a small and friendly Shrewsbury DIY horse livery yard situated on a 600 acre arable farm, on National Trust land, near Attingham Park, Atcham, SHREWSBURY, Shropshire. There are lovely large brick-built stables in the cobbled courtyard overlooking the menage at Uckington, with plenty of good quality, well maintained grazing – in a choice of paddock sizes to suit different equestrian needs. Our Shrewsbury DIY horse livery is conveniently situated just off the main road (not long winding lanes) providing all year round easy access – whatever the weather! We are just 5 miles from Shrewsbury and 5 miles from Wellington, Telford – with proprietors living on site.

We provide over 1.2 acres grazing per horse and depending on availability, you can share a field with a friend/someone compatible or have your own private paddock. We try to seek compatible personalities with to maintain the happy, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere.
We have event, dressage, show-jumping and leisure riders – who enjoy schooling and training but appreciate the peace and quiet of the countryside and riding over the many farmland tracks and huge stubble fields for gallops, without the need to go on roads or meet traffic.  We have show jumps available and a round lunge pen, but many owners enjoy setting off for long-distance rides over local bridleways.  Our liveries tend to stay here for many years but we occasionally get spaces come available – so please email for current availability, as we like to make it a happy and enjoyable place to be.

* Owners asked to stable horses at night between 1st November to 31st April.  Horses are happier with regular routine so we can do turnout/bringin as needed (turnout 6am – 8am), bringin before dark (starting 2.30pm – 3.30pm on shortest days) – so horses still get 8+ hrs grazing.
